New feature: Favorites and personal collections get a makeover
Personal collections, or recipe playlists, are central to ckbk. We’ve been listening to users and have recently added several of their suggested improvements. Find out more below…
By Matthew Cockerill
The first update is that the new ordering options (first introduced for the I Cooked This collection) are now available for all your personal collections, including your Favorites. If you’ve struggled to find things amongst a large collection of favorites, this should help!
The next improvement is that you customize the appearance of a personal collection, by selecting which recipe to use as the cover image for that collection. When viewing the collection page, go to any recipe and click the … menu. You will see a new “Use as cover image” option.
When you select a recipe cover image, that cover will not only be used as the cover image, it will also be used as the header image for the collection. But if you prefer, you can instead upload a custom header image, by clicking the camera icon in the header, and then uploading the image you wish to use.
NB When you edit your collection, you also get the option to upload a custom cover image.
These new features available now to all users via the ckbk website and can also be used in the latest version of the ckbk app. If necessary, you can update the app on the App Store (iOS users) or on Google Play (Android users).
