OUR FOUNDERS
Matt Cockerill
A culinary adventurer and backyard wasabi grower, Matt Cockerill started his career as a science publisher. As co-founder of open access publishing pioneer BioMed Central, he helped the centuries old science publishing industry to adapt and thrive in the digital era. ckbk is now doing the same for cookbooks. Matt is based in North London, and when he is not working, cooking or drinking coffee, he likes to burn off excess calories running marathons.
Favorite foods: Hamachi nigiri, crispy pork belly and home-made waffles.
Nadia Arumugam
A cookbook author, award-winning food writer and editor, trained chef, and novice restaurant investor, Nadia is an indisputable lover of all things edible and culinary. Whether she’s perfecting her gourmet mac and cheese for her discriminating toddler or hosting multiple-course dinner parties, she (almost) always has something simmering on the stove. Born in Malaysia, raised in London and now living in New York City, she is ckbk's editorial and creative maven.
Favorite foods: Chocolate, Malaysian hawker fare especially curry laksa and roti canai, buttery, garlicky escargot, more chocolate.
