New Feature: I Cooked This
Collections are a central feature of ckbk—they are like recipe playlists. The latest ckbk update introduces a special I Cooked This collection showing every recipe you have tagged on ckbk as “Cooked”, so you can keep track of what you cooked, and when!
By Matthew Cockerill
One of the joys of trying out new recipes on ckbk is discovering recipes that you want to return to again and again. So, it makes sense to be able to go back and review what you have cooked, and how you rated each dish.
ckbk has always allowed you to track what you have cooked, via the I Cooked This button which appears on each recipe.
Now, if you go to the Collections page, you will find a new I Cooked This collection which shows you exactly what you cooked and when. Recipes which you review also automatically appear in the I Cooked This collection.
By default you will see the recipes that you have cooked in the order you first cooked them, starting with the most recently cooked recipes.
But you can choose from many other ways to order your list of recipes. For example, you can order them by My Rating (the star rating you gave them), as well as by Average Rating from all ckbk users.
You can also order the dishes by Date of Publication so you can see what you have cooked from the latest cookbooks.
In all cases, you can easily switch between ascending and descending order. So for example you can also see a list of the very oldest recipes you have cooked.
The I Cooked This collection is available now to all users via the ckbk website. It cab also be used in the latest version of the ckbk app. If necesssary, you can update the app on the App Store (iOS users) or on Google Play (Android users).
What’s next
Keep track of how long you’ve maintained a streak by cooking at least one dish each week from ckbk. Make progress up the chef rankings as you cook more recipes, and earn badges to reflect your culinary prowess in areas such as baking and international cooking. All this, and more, is coming soon…
We’re also working on a ‘Plan to Cook' collection so you can line recipes up and schedule them for the future.
