Win a copy of the beautiful new edition of Pride and Pudding

A new edition of Regula Ysewijn’s authoritative guide to the best traditional British puddings, Pride and Pudding, is published by Murdoch Books on May 12, 2022.

Regula is one of the judges for The Platinum Pudding Competition, part of the celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The Competition’s aim is to find a worthy commemorative dish to celebrate Her Majesty’s reign, a pudding that can be enjoyed across the UK as part of the Jubilee celebrations (Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 6) and in the years and decades to come.

The winner will be announced on May 12 – the same date that Regula’s new edition will be published.

Regula’s elegantly photographed and produced hardcover book includes more than 90 traditional recipes. Her in-depth research is meticulous and her love of the topic is clear. She describes the book as “a tribute to the cookery writers of the past ... who were driven by a profound passion for British food.”

The book gives the reader an insight into the history of the Great British Pudding in its various sweet and savory forms, from the 16th to the 20th centuries. It’s enlightening and enticing in equal measure and will have you craving timeless treats such as Queen of Puddings and Jam Roly-Poly.

We have a copy of this brilliant book up for grabs for two lucky winners. Enter by 23.59 GMT by May 31, 2022, for your chance to win.
